On January 31, 2024, the music world buzzed with excitement when Nigerian superstar Portable and renowned Nigerian-British rapper Skepta dropped the teaser to their collaborative single, titled “Tony Montana”.

The song, eventually released on March 1, combines Skepta’s signature rap style with Portable’s infectious energy, resulting in a dynamic and unforgettable experience for listeners.

“Tony Montana” opens with a pulsating beat that immediately grabs your attention. Skepta’s gritty verses seamlessly blend with Portable’s melodic delivery, creating a captivating synergy. The lyrics delve into themes of ambition, resilience, and the pursuit of success—a fitting tribute to the legendary fictional character Tony Montana from the iconic film “Scarface.”

Portable, known for his distinctive voice and genre-blending approach, shines brightly on this track. His verse adds depth and authenticity, showcasing his versatility as an artist.

This collaboration comes on the heels of Portable’s appearance on the red carpet of the prestigious 2023 British Fashion Awards at the Royal Albert Hall in London last December. Skepta and his crew stood by Portable’s side, making a stylish and impactful entrance to the event. Born Joseph Olaitan Adenuga, Skepta is no stranger to the music scene, having released five albums, five mixtapes, and a collaborative body of work that consistently leaves a mark in the industry. His accolades also include nominations for prestigious awards such as the Brit Awards.

Emerging into the spotlight with the release of “Zazoo Zeh” in December 2021, Portable has become a prominent figure in the music scene, despite not being without controversies.
